Cardi B has been gearing up for the drop of her newest single — titled “Hot Shit,” which releases at midnight on July 1 — since she first shared the news on June 27. She has been blessing our Instagram feed with stunning promotional photos and videos that the Bardigang has no doubt been going wild over. In one photo, she is in the backseat of a car with a blunt, black bowl cut, while in another, her hair and eyes are completely covered by a massive giraffe-print hat and matching gloves. It looks like elaborate head coverings may be a common theme here because, in her latest post, she’s dressed from head to toe in a jewel-encrusted bathrobe and hair towel that look more expensive than all my student loans combined.
In the short clip, the Bronx rapper teases a snippet of the song and mouths the lyrics while sitting on a balcony in her iced-out bathtime ensemble. Every inch of the white towel wrapped around her head is covered in tiny silver gems — I never knew a towel could look so expensive. Her location also screams luxury with a champagne brunch spread on her table with a lovely view of New York City skyscrapers behind her.
Her glam neutral makeup lets this bejeweled robe and hair towel have their big moment. But the pointy red tips on her fingers may just steal a bit of the attention as my eyes couldn’t help but dart to the stiletto-shaped manicure.
