Together, the two Los Angeles-based brands have created an herbaceous, ethereal perfume aptly named Cosmic Release. According to a press release sent to Allure, Cosmic Release is a limited-edition collaboration that took two years to create and is the brainchild of Youth to the People co-founder Greg Gonzalez and DedCool creator Carina Chaz. “What started as a DM exchange about shared vision and values in the responsible beauty space evolved into an expressive eau de parfum that perfectly blends both brands into a balanced fragrance for all,” the press release states.
Consider the fragrance as an aromatic ode to brisk Los Angeles nights. It starts off with a floral bouquet of violet, jasmine, and a hint of herbal rosemary, but as it dries down, you can expect grassy vetiver, woody cedar, and warm amber to take over. The result? A harmonious blend of florals and woods that you’d expect to take in during a late autumn stroll through SoCal.
