Double-Winged Eyeliner
In addition to the revenge lip, the Alice and Olivia show was full of innovative yet practical NYFW beauty moments that we’re sure to see more of this fall, including a gorgeous double-winged eyeliner. Inspired by Truman Capote’s “swans” and creating an updated take on 60s glamour, the models at Alice and Olivia’s spring show were seen rocking not one but two streaks of winged liner, as well as tiny streaks of liner on the lower lash line to create faux lashes.
“We wanted a look that felt feminine and fierce,” explains Alice and Olivia creative director, Stacy Bendey, “We used an elegant double-lined black & white eye, a nod to the black and white belle of 1966.” Pro-tip: Reneau used the shade Blast Off from the Cosmic Crush High-Pigment Eye Shadow Palette ($52) to create the top and bottom wing, before going in with the Better Than Sex Easy Glide Eyeliner ($25) to lock to look in place.
