Chanel Caractere Eyeshadow & Blush Palette Review & Swatches

Chanel Caractere (958) Eyeshadow and Blush Palette ($90.00 for 0.42 oz.) is a new, limited edition multi-use palette with larger-sized pans as each well is designed to be used as a cheek color as well as as an eyeshadow shade. The texture was a bit firmer compared to Chanel’s eyeshadows but denser than the blush range, I felt like it was the right mix to work well for both uses. Caractere #1 is a medium, peachy coral with strong, warm undertones and a satin sheen. Semi-opaque to opaque, buildable pigmentation Smooth, finely-milled, firm but not stiff Applied evenly, blended out Continue Reading…

Sydney Grace Unbreakable Bond (Deep) Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Sydney Grace Unbreakable Bond (Light) 16-Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($60.00 for 0.635 oz.) includes eight matte eyeshadows and eight shimmer eyeshadows across a mix of warmer-toned neutrals, corals, and pops of cooler gray, blue, and taupe. This is the Deep version of the palette; only three shades different between the Light and Deep versions: Mama, Dusty Trails, and Cleveland. Worth noting, there are some existing shades in the palette (Adore Me and Shaley’s Shimmer, which I Continue Reading…

Estee Lauder Indigo Night Pure Color Envy Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches

Estee Lauder Indigo Night Pure Color Envy Luxe Eyeshadow Quad (Refill) ($44.00 for 0.21 oz.) is another dismal entry from Estee Lauder in the name of eyeshadow–dry, powdery, thin, prone to fallout, and poor wearing. There were no redeeming points here! Indigo Night #1 is a rich, cobalt blue with strong, cool undertones and large flecks of lighter blue sparkle. Opaque coverage More loosely-pressed, dry, textured, somewhat powdery Applied somewhat unevenly, prone to fallout Shorter-wearing (6 hours before fading) Indigo Night #2 is a light-medium peach with strong, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish.
