Chanel Golden Beige (90) Rouge Allure Laque (2020) ($45.00 for 0.18 oz.) is a light-medium orange with moderate, warm undertones–balanced between red and yellow undertones–paired with a lightly, metallic pearl. Semi-sheer, somewhat buildable pigmentation Lightweight, thin, spreadable Applied fairly evenly, set quickly, comfortable to wear Long-wearing (5.5 hours before breaking down), lightly hydrating
Chanel Lumiere Graphique Eyeshadow Palette ($88.00 for 0.31 oz.) is a new, limited edition holiday palette that featured five shimmery shades ranging from golden pewter to sparkling white. The quality was more mid-range for me; a little powdery and drier in texture, though certainly better when applied with a dampened brush or over a tacky base. Lumiere Graphique #1 is a light-medium, golden pewter with moderate, warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. Semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation Soft, lightly powdery, not prone to fallout Applied evenly and blended out well Long-wearing (8 hours before fading) Lumiere Graphique #2 is a dark, Continue Reading…
Chanel Duo Lumiere Illuminating Powder Duo ($70.00 for 0.26 oz.) includes a peachy champagne and a lighter, champagne gold that combine to create a soft, golden peach with flecks of gold sparkle throughout. It had more of a translucent base, so it will definitely take on the depth and tone of one’s natural coloring more than some highlighters. It did have a more “glittery” finish, which I know some love and others steer clear of. Semi-sheer to medium, buildable pigmentation Smooth, finely-milled, lightly emollient; no powderiness Applied evenly and blended out well Long-wearing (8.5 hours before fading)
Chanel Fancy Prune (91) Rouge Allure Laque (2020) ($45.00 for 0.18 oz.) is a subdued, brownish-burgundy with subtle, warm undertones and a lightly, metallic finish with fine pearl. Semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation Lightweight, thin, spreadable Applied fairly evenly, set quickly, comfortable to wear Long-wearing (6.5 hours before breaking down), lightly hydrating
Chanel Holiday 2023 Color Collection is a short ‘n’ sweet collection featuring a few lip products along with an eyeshadow palette and highlighter. As it is taking me longer to push out full reviews, I’m going to try to offer some initial thoughts when I feel fairly confident about those impressions (e.g. I have experience with the formula/brand that it feels pretty routine!). In this case, the highlighter is lovely but one of the more glittery releases from the brand so those who do not like larger particles should skip. The eyeshadow palette seems decent enough but not the best Continue Reading…
