Give Me Glow Welcome to My Doll House Pressed Highlighter Review & Swatches

Give Me Glow Welcome to My Doll House Pressed Highlighter ($17.25 for 0.28 oz.) is a medium pink with cooler undertones and a high-shine, metallic finish. The texture was soft, smooth, and almost cream-like, as it was quite finely-milled and emollient, but it had a fragileness to the powder that made it best used with a softer hand and more of a tapping motion to pick up product. It had rich color payoff that adhered well to bare skin with a smooth, even laydown of product that was able to be buffed and blended with little work. It didn’t emphasize Continue Reading…

Natasha Denona Love Cheek & Eye Palette Review & Swatches

Natasha Denona Love Face Palette ($62.00 for 0.5 oz.) is a new, seemingly-permanent palette that includes five eyeshadows, one cream blush, and one powder highlighter. The cheek products also have a small, plastic lid that prevents powders from getting into the cream blush, which is always a nice touch. Overall, the eyeshadows were lovely to work with except for Esme, which I found oddly stiff/firm and thinner compared to most of the brand’s matte eyeshadows. Both the cream blush and highlighter performed as expected. Esme (473CM) is a dark pink with cooler undertones and a matte finish. Semi-opaque, buildable coverage Continue Reading…

Kaleidos Moon Cruiser Space Age Highlighter Review & Swatches

Kaleidos Moon Cruiser Space Age Highlighter ($14.00 for 0.10 oz.) has a translucent base with duochrome shifting shimmer and faint sparkle that went from icy blue to cooler to slightly warmer lavender. It had a very wet-look when applied to bare skin, as it was shiny and twinkling. It had medium, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out fairly well, though I found it was more prone to caking up against medium coverage foundation so I’d recommend applying over set foundation. The texture was firmer, slightly stiff in the pan, but I was able to pick Continue Reading…

Merit Cava Day Glow Highlighting Balm Review & Swatches

Merit Cava Day Glow Highlighting Balm ($30.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a pale gold with moderate, warm undertones and a dewy sheen with faint pearl. It had transparent coverage, which was as marketed by the brand, that looked like a wet-sheen and not overly pearly (again, as marketed). It remained dewy on my skin as it never dried down, which made it shorter-wearing and easy to smear if you’re someone who accidentally touches their face! The texture was very emollient, almost oily, and high in slip, but I was able to pat it into place without it spreading and diffusing Continue Reading…
