Pat McGrath Sunset Romance 5-Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($36.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a new, limited edition warmer, neutral-leaning color story that included two semi-matte shades paired with three very shimmery shades. The formula was creamier across the board with the mattes having a smoother, more velvety texture (less like a traditional matte), and the shimmers being very cream-like and a touch thicker, though I had great wear, pigmentation, and experienced good application with all the shades. Glowing Desire is a light copper with moderate, warm orange undertones and a soft, metallic sheen . Semi-opaque pigmentation Smooth, emollient consistency, almost cream-like Continue Reading…

Pat McGrath Supernova Siren Divine Blush, Bronze, and Glow Trio ($52.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that leaned a bit more on the darker spectrum (compared to the other two released) in depth. The quality was decent across the board, though I found the bronzer and blush to be on the powdery side and not my favorite texture applied to bare skin (relative to other offerings). Burnished Honey is a dark, reddish-brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. Medium, buildable pigmentation (as marketed) Smooth, finely-milled, somewhat powdery and thinner than the permanent version Applied evenly Continue Reading…
Pat McGrath Nirvana in Bloom Divine Blush, Bronze, and Glow Trio ($52.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that leaned a bit more medium (compared to the other two released) in depth. The quality was decent across the board, though I found the bronzer and blush to be on the powdery side and not my favorite texture applied to bare skin (relative to other offerings). Bronze Nirvana is a medium, coppery-orange with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. Pat McGrath Fleurever Nude Divine Blush, Bronze, and Glow Trio ($52.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that leaned a bit lighter (compared to the other two released) in depth. I wasn’t thrilled with the highlighter texture; despite being more finely-milled, it looked drier applied to my skin due to the general dustiness/dryness of the formula. The bronzer was comparable to the permanent range, though it did feel thinner to me. Nude Honey is a light-medium brown with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. Medium, buildable pigmentation (as marketed) Smooth, finely-milled, somewhat powdery and thinner than Continue Reading…
There are three variations of the Pat McGrath Bijoux Brilliance Cheek Trios with them basically being lighter-leaning, more medium-leaning, and deeper-leaning. Each trio includes a bronzer (all from the permanent range), blush (all new shades), and highlighter (all new shades). While the blushes are new shades, I felt like they covered similar territory as past releases, so you may find the trios redundant if you have a lot of Divine Blushes already. The quality felt slightly thinner/dustier compared to the permanent range, particularly with respect to the lightest highlighter. Here are swatches!
There are four, five-pan Pat McGrath Bijoux Brilliance Eyeshadow Palettes available for the holiday season. The quality is comparable to the last batch of five-pan palettes released: all of the shades were more emollient, cream-like, and a bit thicker. The shimmers apply better in practice than swatched, while the mattes have a more velvety, silicone-like feel than the brand’s mattes in Mothership palettes.
